The heart of interest of the Alsatian culture clearly is good taste: excellent food, great wines and true savoir vivre. As a matter of fact the country between Rhine and Vogese, between Jura and the Forest of Pfalz offers fascinating views: idyllic hills on the wine-street, picturesque villages in-between and mysterious ruins change with the wide Rhine meadows. A very attractive scenery for the cyclist with the biggest network of cycle paths in France.

Day 1 - Straßburg
Individual arrival at Straßburg; welcome, possibility for city tour.

Day 2 -
Cat. B: Straßburg – Sand approx. 45 km
Cat. A: Straßburg – Huttenheim approx. 50 km
You leave Straßburg on the cycle path along the Rhine - Rhône channel heading south to Sand and Huttenheim in the heart of the Alsatian reeds.

Day 3 -
Cat. B: Sand – Colmar approx. 58 km
Cat. A: Huttenheim – Colmar approx. 55 km

After Ebermunster with its singular Silbermann organ to be found in a beautiful baroque church, you cycle past villages to the city of art Colmar.

Day 4 -
Cat. B : Colmar – Ottmarsheim approx. 55 km
Cat. A: Colmar – Murbach approx. 45 km

On the very well constructed cycle path you reach Ottmarsheim with an important basilica dating back to the 12 century, build after the model of the dome of Aachen by the emperor Charles the Great. The second tour leads via Guebwiller to Murbach!

Day 5 -
Cat. B: Ottmarsheim – Guebwiller approx. 50 km
Cat. A: Murbach – Riquewihr approx. 55 km

The abbey of Murbach is the Romanesque destination today. The overnight stay will be at the foot of the summit of the Vosges or in Guebwiller.

Day 6 -
Cat. B: Guebwiller – Riquewihr approx. 50 km
Cat. A: resting day

The villages Equisheim – Turkheim, Kaysersberg and Riquewihr belong to the most beautiful and famous villages of the wine-street.

7. Day -
Cat. B: Riquewihr – Obernai approx. 55 km
Cat. A: Riquewihr – Obernai approx. 55 km

Via the famous vine-estate and the beautiful villages past the roman church of Andlau to the little wine-growing town Obernai.

8. Day -
Cat. B: Obernai – Straßburg approx. 40 km
Cat. A: Obernai – Straßburg approx. 40 km

In Rosheim the Alsatian romanic found a critical point in the curches St. Pierre and St. Pauls (12 th century). Along the channel Bruch we come to Straßburg. Departure in the late afternoon.
