ROUTE:
Day 1: Assisi/Viole
Individual arrival.
Day 2: Assisi/Viole - Torgiano (approx. 60 km/38 miles)
Through the valley of Spoleto, passing quaint medieval villages like Montefalcone, you reach Torgiano.
Day 3: Torgiano (rest day or approx. 40 km/25 miles)
Either you take a rest day at Torgiano or discover the provincial capital of Perugia with its Renaissance palaces.
Day 4: Torgiano - San Feliciano/Magione (approx. 46 km/29 miles)
You are leaving the valley of Spoleto and reach the fishing village of San Feliciano at Lake Trasimeno.
Day 5: San Feliciano/Magione - Umbertide (approx. 45 km/28 miles)
Today there is plenty of time to admire the untouched nature of Umbria on your way to Umbertide.
Day 6: Umbertide - Gubbio (approx. 53 km/33 miles)
Be impressed by your today's destination with the monastery of San Ubaldo, high above the town.
Day 7: Gubbio - Assisi/Viole (approx. 59 km/36 miles)
A hilly stretch leads you back to the home of Saint Francis, Assisi.
Day 8: Assisi/Viole
Individual departure or extension of stay.
