Mostly flat side streets, some short uphill stretches.

ROUTE:
Nearest Airport: Marseille
Nearest Train-Station: Avignon
Day 1: Avignon   Individual arriva.
Day 2: Avignon - Graveson (approx. 62 km/39 miles)
Leaving Avignon, you pass typical Mediterranean villages and reach the Gallo-Roman arch "Pont du Gard".
Day 3: Graveson - Arles (approx. 54 km/34 miles)
Passing Tarascon you cycle along medieval cities and castles to Arles.
Day 4: Arles - Les-Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer (approx. 57 km/36 miles)
You reach the lagoons and moors of the Camargue; crossing the river Rhône by boat you cycle to Les-Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer.
Day 5: Les-Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer
Rest day
Day 6: Les-Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer - Fontvieille/Mausanne (approx. 68 km/43 miles)
Through the dike "Digue a la Mer" you bike to the Alpilles with its unique landscape.
Day 7: Fontvieille/Mausanne - Avignon (approx. 48 km/30 miles)
Crossing the hills of the Alpilles from North to South and passing Saint Remy de Provence, you return to Avignon.
Day 8: Avignon
Individual departure or extension.
