The Moselle Bike Path     -     Trier - Braubach

Spend you bicycle vacation in the most well known wine growing region of Germany along one of the most beautiful rivers. Explore famous towns like Berkastel-Kues, Traben-Tarbach, Cochem or Neumagen-Dhron, the oldest German wine town.

ROUTE:
Nearest Airport: Frankfurt, Cologne
Day 1: Trier   Individual arrival.
Day 2: Trier - Trittenheim (approx. 42 km/26 miles)
On the Moselle biketrail you reach the village of Trittenheim where you will find lots of information to the life and work of the winegrowers.
Day 3: Trittenheim - Zeltingen (approx. 35 km/22 miles)
Today you reach Neumagen-Dhron, the oldest wine growing village in Germany. Have lunch at the market square of Bernkastel-Kues, before you continue to Zeltingen.
Day 4: Zeltingen - Zell (approx. 36 km/22 miles)
You cycle through the famous vineyards of the "Kröver Nacktarsch" and reach Traben-Tarbach. We suggest a boat ride down the Moselle. After a break in beautiful Enkirch (medieval architecture called "Fachwerk").
Day 5: Zell - Treis-Karden (approx. 47 km/29 miles)
Passing Beilstein, you arrive in Cochem. You can visit the picturesque city centre and the old castle (11th century).
Day 6: Treis-Karden - Koblenz (approx. 42 km/26 miles)
In the morning you should plan a visit of the castle of eltz before you cycle through the Moselle valley to the 2000year old town of Koblenz, caught in-between the pituresque landscape of the Rhine and Moselle and surrounded by four low mountain ranges is. Enjoy the fantastiv view from high (118 metres) above the Rhine at Ehrenbreitstein Fortress across to the "Deutsches Eck" (German Corner) with its re-erected monument, the "Reiterdenkmal".
Day 7: Koblenz   Individual departure or extension.
