LAKE CONSTANCE   -   Three countries - one lake

The Alps, romantic villages and sleepy towns around the glistening lake. Be impressed by an unforgettable and fascinating landscape, unique in Europe.

TOUR PROFILE: The Area is flat without any climbs. You bike on cycle paths, mostly directly along the shore of the lake, no major uphill stretches.

ROUTE:
Nearest Airport: Friedrichshafen (Germany), Altenrhein (Switzerland)
Day 1: Constance
Individual arrival. Visit Mainau, the island of flowers or enjoy the old centre of constance.
Day 2: Constance - Stein am Rhein/surroundings (approx. 30 km/19 miles)
You cycle along the Wollmatinger Ried and take a boat to Gaienhofen on the Höri Peninsula. You continue by bike - passing the border to Switzerland - onto Stein am Rhein.
Day 3: Stein am Rhein/surroundings - Überlingen/surroundings (approx. 55 km/34 miles)
Today`s bike leg leads you along the swiss shore of the lake to Constance. Pass the island of Mainau and cycle onto Dingelsdorf. Boat transfer to Überlingen.
Day 4: Überlingen/surroundings - Lindau/surroundings (approx. 55 km/34 miles)
Leaving Überlingen you pass Meersburg until you reach the city of Lindau. Discover the city centre which is situated on an island.
Day 5: Lindau/surroundings - Rorschach/surroundings (approx. 40 km/25 miles)
Shortly after leaving Lindau, you cross the border to Austria. Do not miss to visit the festival town of Bregenz. Passing the Rhine delta, you reach Switzerland again.
Day 6: Rorschach/surroundings - Constance (approx. 40 km/25 miles)
Again along the Swiss shore of the river you cycle onto Constance, where you return your bicycles.
Day 7: Constance
Individual departure or extension.
