Straight through the southern Baltic states -
A Four-State-Country

An absolute highlight of the cycling tour along the coast is expecting you in the southern Baltic region. You experience four states with different regional cultures, cuisine and sights on this tour through Germany, Denmark, Sweden and Poland. Both the ferry crossings and the baggage service are included in the travel expenses. You travel as comfortably as in a hotel on the ferry from Ystad to Swinemuende. As can be expected, a 2-bed cabin with shower/bath has been reserved for you. The floating hotel ship offers culinary delights in two restaurants. Entertainment and amusement in the evening is taken care of by a piano bar, casino, various shops and duty free outlets. You disembark in the morning, fortified by an abundant breakfast. You reach your destination by ferry from Ruegen to Bornholm and from Bornholm to Ystad in daylight.

1st day: Arrival in Stralsund by 17.00 hrs
Bicycle reception. The Hanseatic heart of the town Stralsund invites you to go exploring between the old and the new market. Overnight stay.
2nd day: Bornholm approx. 28 km
Transfer from the hotel to the ferry terminal Mukran. Crossing to Bornholm. You cycle along the wildly romantic Baltic coast, past steep granite cliffs and sandy beaches. Overnight stay in Allinge.
3rd day: Roenne approx. 50 km
From Allinge via Gudhjem along the eastern coastline. Surely one of the most beautiful coastal cycle tours is in store for you here. Oesterlar's formidable round church and the Alemding forest lie on your way back to Roenne. Overnight stay.
4th day: South Sweden approx. 45 km
Ya I Ystad stands for a lively word. The southern Swedish harbour town has gained its renown miles beyond its borders from the novel hero Detective Wallander. You spend the night in the old heart of the town. In the evening you hear the horn of the tower guard. Overnight stay.
5th day: South Sweden – Usedom approx. 40 km
Your tour leads over Oesterlen to the Alestenar, a ship outlined by a stone setting dating from the dim and distant past. In the evening, at about 9 p.m., you embark on the ferry of the Unity Line for the crossing to Swinemuende.The state-of-the-art ferry offers considerable comfort. You spend the night on the Unity Line.    
6th day: Swinemuende – Zinnowitz approx. 35 km
You disembark at about 7 a.m and cycle to the centre of Swinemuende. The lighthouse and port facilities on the Swine are impressive. You continue on your tour through the imperial seaside health resorts over the German part of the isle Usedom to the seaside resort Zinnowitz located in the north. Overnight stay.
7th day: Usedom – Stralsund approx. 40/60 km
In normal wind conditions you can cross from Zinnowitz with the resort ship to Ruegen. Some of the ships call on Goehren or Gager on Moenchgut. You then cycle back to Stralsund through the south of Ruegen. Should the crossing be cancelled, you cycle on the Baltic coast cycle track along the Greifswald bay to Greifswald. Depending on your physical condition on that day, you can also, under your own steam, undertake to return to Stralsund by rail. Overnight stay.
8th day: Return home from Stralsund
After a varied and diversified tour, you organise your departure after breakfast.
